When you're running low, just place a refill order, set your empties outside, and we'll pick them up, swap them out, and you're good to go!

How It Works
A refillery is a simple service to help our community reduce single-use plastic in their lives: instead of buying a new container every time, you refill and reuse existing ones. At PurposeFill, we bring the refillery to your doorstep — delivering full containers to your door and picking up your empties to sanitize and reuse, creating a continuous, closed-loop system that’s easy for you and better for the planet.

Order
Your “first fill” comes in a refillable glass jar or bottle with dispenser top or scoop.

Refill
When you’re running low, order a “bottle swap” (we’ll deliver a new container with just a lid).

Return & Repeat
Put your empties (with lids, not dispensers) out for pickup. We sanitize, reuse, and keep the cycle going.
From Plastic Problems to Purposeful Solutions
Every time I tossed an empty plastic bottle, it made me feel sick. Even if I put it in the recycle bin, I knew it didn’t mean it would be recycled. I was still creating more waste. I was tired of being part of the problem — I wanted to be part of the solution, but I didn’t know how.
The first time I walked into a refillery, I was like a kid in a candy shop. I couldn’t believe such a place existed — somewhere I could refill the things I used every day, without creating more waste. I was so excited and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
I wanted this in my own community, but I wanted to make it even better. I wanted to remove the hurdles and make refilling affordable, convenient, beautiful, and fun. That’s why I started PurposeFill — to make it easy for Central Oregon families to choose solutions that are good for their homes and for the planet.
Filling a Community Need
Everyday choices add up. In Deschutes County, the average household generates nearly 3,000 pounds of waste each year — and only about 27% is recovered, well below Oregon’s goal of 45%. With Knott Landfill projected to close by 2029, our community faces a growing challenge: what do we do with all this waste?
PurposeFill was created to make the answer simple: reduce it at the source. By swapping single-use plastic bottles for reusable containers, we’re cutting waste before it even begins. And by making refills convenient and affordable, we remove the barriers that keep even the most eco-minded families from sustainable habits.

Getting Started
Your first fill comes in a reusable glass container with a dispenser pump, spray top, or scoop (depending on the product). Bottle swaps come in the same reusable glass containers but with lids only. You’ll keep your pumps, sprayers, or scoops from your starter kit and reuse them with future refills.
Your first fill is slightly more expensive because it includes a pump, spray top, or scoop, plus what we like to call your “forever bottle” that we will swap out every time you reorder a product. Making refilling affordable is a priority for us, so we do everything we can to keep costs reasonable.
Great! Our larger sizes (32 and 64 oz.) come with lids only and the larger size makes it convenient to refill your existing containers. Your product will arrive in a reusable glass container with a lid, and you can pour it into your own pump, spray bottle, or dispenser at home.
Not yet. Right now, we’re only swapping out PurposeFill containers, but we may offer pop-up events in the future where you can bring your own bottles to refill onsite. Be sure to sign up for our emails so you’ll be the first to hear about new developments like this!
Using & Returning Containers
Rinse your empty containers well and set them out on delivery day. (Pro tip: If you put a splash of vinegar in the bottle, it helps with suds.) We’ll pick them up when we drop off your new order. We wash, sanitize, and reuse everything. Be sure to hang onto your dispenser tops — refills come with lids only.
No problem! Just hang onto it and set it out on your next delivery day. We’ll pick it up then — enjoy it to the last drop! Just be sure you return it so we can put it back into rotation.
Deliveries & Fees
We deliver once a week on Friday. Order by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. for delivery the next Friday.
Orders of $30+ are delivered free. Orders under $30 include a $5 delivery fee.
We deliver in Bend ZIP codes of 97701, 97702, and 97703.
Not at this time. We’re focused on Bend deliveries only. Our big-picture goal is to create a model that other communities can replicate in their own communities!
At this time, our focus is on creating positive change right here in Central Oregon, so we currently offer local deliveries only (no shipping).

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
Because PurposeFill products are unpackaged refills, we aren’t able to accept returns once an order has been delivered. This helps us maintain product safety and reduce the environmental impact of shipping items back and forth. Check out our return, refund, and exchange policy for more information.
